The Scholastic Chess Platform promotes student and family engagement with other players, coaches and teachers registered in this Engage in School initiative
It is a demonstrated fact that chess improves schoolwork and grades. Numerous studies have proven that students achieve a higher reading and math levels as well as a greater learning ability overall as a result of learning and playing chess. For all those reasons mentioned above and more, The Scholastic Chess Platform will assist students to achieve in school and therefore be able to follow their dreams of success in life.
Mission and Key Objectives of the “Engage In School” Chess Platform
Provide a self-contained platform
Facilitating a coherent, safe, user-friendly and on-going system to interact with other students that play chess in school.
Enhance the overall scholastic chess experience
Strengthening communication among participating members (schools, coaches, students, parents, families, etc.)
Engaging all parties to increase participation
Sharing the Scholastic Chess experience with other members in the platform will help improve participation and students performance in school.
Enables you to meet and share with the other chess team members
You will make life-long friendships with people you meet through chess in your school.
Opens up the chess world for you and your family
Families will gain instant awareness of how the Chess Scholastics improves the students overall grades, and will help students develop in their school and personal life.
Would you like to participate in the Scholastic Chess Platform?
The Scholastic Chess Platform is part of the Engage in School project which will be active as a Pilot Project for 6 months, and will start within 5 of the schools of the City of Sunrise district.
The registered members in the Chess Platform will be part of the 5 schools participating in this project and will combine different profiles: coaches, parents, students, etc.
